Can't Get Enough!

Maybe it's the character nuances of Marie Antoinette, Louis XIV and XVI, and the queen's Franglaise BFF. Maybe it's the smoldering looks of the queen's Swedish soldier lover. It's definitely the sumptuous costumes and Versailles backdrop. And yeah, definitely the party/pastry/poker montages set to 80s punk music.

I'm off to watch one of my favorite movie discoveries ever. And here are some media to get you to see it also, if you haven't already.

PS: Kirsten Dunst is far less annoying in this movie than she seems to be in the tabloids. In fact, she plays the title character with charm and endearing vulnerability. So don't let Perez Hilton's Drunkst put you off :-)

I love this movie! Once you lower your expectations and accept that it is not going to be factually accurate, it really is a lot of fun. I especially love the costumes and the incorporation of modern day music.
